Kiva Reardon has extensive experience in film programming, writing, editing and digital media. She speaks fluent French, holds a Master’s degree in Cinema Studies and is a Canadian-Irish dual citizen.
Kiva Reardon is a Film Programmer at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. She previously was the Lead Programmer of Contemporary World Cinema at the Toronto International Film Festival and worked at: Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival, with the International Film Festival Rotterdam and at the Doha Film Institute in Qatar.
Writing and Editing
In 2013 Kiva founded cléo, an online publication dedicated to creating space for
intersectional feminist voices in film criticism. In 2019, with Kiva as the lead editor and project manager, the journal published a print compendium, the cléo reader: 2013-2019.
Speaking and Appearances
Kiva has appeared on television shows such as VICE Guide to Film, CBC's The Filmmakers, ET! Canada, Breakfast Television and the CBC radio programs Metro Morning, Ideas and q with Tom Power. She hosted the IFFR Talks podcast (2019), and in 2018, co-hosted the International Film Festival Rotterdam’s TV show IFFR Live.
She has spoken at the British Film Institute, the National Gallery of Canada, the TIFF Cinematheque, and on numerous international panels.
